About Us
Who we are and Why We Started
Pet Pasta is a small, family-owned business that was built by two sisters with a passion for dogs and their health. We live in Nebraska and believe that everything we do should be led by our hearts and by being kind to EVERYONE and every ANIMAL.
When we first got our pups we tried many kinds of commercial dog kibble but could not find one that they liked and that didn't cause allergic reactions like dry, itchy skin. So after a bit of research on the best food for dogs we concluded that homemade dog food was the absolute best choice. As soon as we made the switch, their allergies cleared up, their teared stains went away and they loved mealtime.
Fast forward 14 years
We have learned a lot about dogs, the foods they love and the nutrients they need to stay healthy. As you know, most homemade recipes call for additional supplementation, but determining how much was needed was a problem. So we set out to simplify homemade dog food and eliminate the guesswork for a healthy meal. Since unfortified pasta has always been a delicacy for our dogs, we thought why not make a fortified pasta that we can add to their meals. And then...Pet Pasta was born.
In order to perfect the recipe we partnered with a board certified veterinarian and a board-certified pet nutritionist with BSM Partners. They help create the final formula and recipes to ensure our dogs and yours will get the essential vitamins and minerals they need . All dogs who have tried Pet Pasta give an unanimous bark of approval! We are excited for your dog to try it too!
